No Name Creeks is a joint venture of Scott and Becky Ravenkamp and Brian and Zoe Vakoc headquartered in Verdigre, NE. Continuing the vision of Becky’s father to raise higher value and higher quality beef, Scott and Becky converted their cattle herd to fullblood akaushi in 2023. Brian and Zoe Vacok joined the herd in 2025 as full partners and No Name Creeks was born.

Born and raised on a cattle ranch in eastern Colorado Becky learned to work cattle on the back of a horse. Scott grew up on a farm in eastern Colorado raising wheat and silage for the cow-calf operation. After they were married the farm converted to continuous no-till, and adopted the five soil health principles. This was when they first started intensive management of the cattle, moving them daily through diverse multi-species cover crops and rotational grazing the pastures. Scott and Becky reloacted to northeast Nebraska in 2018 to do something different somewhere different. Something different turned out to be not so different, the cows also made the move to Nebraska!

Zoe grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. As an engineer and health coach Zoe notices patterns and how things are connected. The connection between human health, the quality of food we eat, and how that food is raised has been a point of interest that Zoe has focused on. Brian grew up in Verdigre, raising livestock in the rolling hills with a gentle touch. Zoe and Brian have raised goats on their Verdigre homestead for the past ten years and have grazed cattle in the outlying acres.

No Name Creeks strives to steward the land using God’s template as a guide. Looking to nature for answers and mimicking the natural prey-preditor relationship that created the great grasslands of the plains, livestock is both something to be managed and a management tool. Livestock are tools to manage the grassland and in turn provide a high quality, nutritious, marketable product.

Our mission

We're on a mission to change the way we grow beef and how we nourish our bodies. Akaushi cattle are pasture raised using low stress handling techniques to ensure a high quality of life for them and their stewards. Using intensive management grazing, fire, and other land management strategies No Name Creeks is improving soil, plant, animal and human health.

Our vision

No Name Creeks land grows a healthy mix of native plants that cover the fragile soil, and improve soil health and water quality. The grasslands provide adequate habitat and forage for both livestock and wildlife. Our pasture raised livestock provide nutrient dense meat for our plates and yours, while improving the grasslands through management intenseive grazing. No Name Creeks opens our gates to visits from customers and those interested in where their food comes from.
